The Hygge Project is free for all participating parents!

Why is joining The Hygge Project free??

The Hygge Project is based on the Danish way of supporting parents. Allowing any parent to join without expecting money in return is a big part of the Danish way.

Where is The Hygge Project located?

The Hygge Project is currently operating in the Greater Atlanta area and meetings take place at HavenHyggeHouse at 533 West Howard Avenue, Suite B, Decatur, GA 30030.

Who can join The Hygge Project?

We welcome any parent with a child younger than one year old.

I am a father, can I join a group?

YES! We will match you with other new fathers.

When will I have my first group meeting?

You might start immediately or you might have to wait until we have enough applicants for your specific group. After receiving your application, we carefully create the groups based on the due date/birth date of your child.

Can I join if my child hasn't been born yet?

Who will be in my group?

You will be matched with 5-6 other new moms (or new dads, if you are a father) based on the due date/birth date of your child.
If you are a second/third time parent, we will put you in a group with only second/third time parents.

Each group meets once a week for 3 months.

Can I bring my other child(ren)?

If you are a second/third time parent, you are welcome to bring your older child on occasion, as long as your group and your group’s facilitator is comfortable with this arrangement.

Can I delay my start once I get assigned to a group?

Once you fill out the application, we assume that you are ready to start as soon as possible.
If for some reason you are not able to attend some of the gatherings, please inform your facilitator.

What if I have to miss a group meeting?

If you cannot attend a gathering, please inform your facilitator.
The Hygge Project is proud to be fiscally sponsored by the Atlanta Birth Center, a Georgia Nonprofit Corporation which has been granted tax-exempt status as a IRS Section 501(c)(3) public charity. The Atlanta Birth Center will receive 10% of all donations given to The Hygge Project.
